Cardboard is definitely one of the easiest recyclable materials to transform into new objects. But what Japanese artist Monomi Ohno makes with this low-cost and multi-purpose food item is an extraordinary level of creativity! It all started when she was studying 3D animation at Osaka University of the Arts.
Monomi saw an extremely cheaper alternative to using cardboard boxes than using expensive software to create digital models. The result is amazing and intricate sculptures that range from pop-cultural characters to food and everyday objects.
